MCP Retail Acquires SE Queensland based Consumer Retail Brands Luggage Direct, Delphin Luggage & Volair Luggage.

We are pleased to announce the acquisition of Luggage Direct, one of Australia’s leading specialist luggage retailers.  The acquisition includes the luggage brands Delphin and Volair.  

Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Brisbane, Luggage Direct has built a trusted reputation for offering Australians a diverse range of quality luggage solutions, from budget-friendly travel bags to premium brands like Samsonite, Antler, American Tourister and Delsey Paris. The business has grown steadily through its SE QLD retail locations and a high-performance eCommerce channel that today services customers nationwide.

Luggage Direct’s success in Queensland has been underpinned by a broad product range, competitive pricing, and superior customer service. The company’s online store has seen robust growth post-COVID, aligning with broader industry trends towards convenience, sustainability, and smart travel gear.

The acquisition includes plans to open additional stores in key metro and regional markets, backed by continued investment into price and marketing.  A refreshed brand identity and omni-channel retail strategy are set to roll out over the next 12 months.
